How To Make Necklace : glorious garnet


To make:-

1. Slip a crimp bead onto the Beadalon then pass the end through and around the wire guardian, hook a split ring onto the guardian and pass the Beadalon back down through the crimp bead a short way. The end will be hidden by the first few beads. Squash the crimp with chain nosed pliers. Place a crimp cover over the crimp bead and sqeeze closed with chain nosed pliers.

2. Thread a 2.5cm length of chips, a 2.5cm round, a garnet round, a 2.5cmround, a garnet round, a 2.5cm round, a garnet round and a 2.5 cm round. Repeat this sequence once then *thread 2.5cm length of chips.Thread a stardust, a jump ring, a stardust, a 2.5cm round, a garnet round, a 2.5 cm round, a garnet round, a 2.5cm round, a garnet round, a 2.5 cm round**, a 6mm filigree, a jump ring, and a 6mm filigree***. Repeat from * to *** then from * to**.

3. Continue the necklace alternating the chips and rounds sequenceuntil it measures 40cm. next pass the beadalon through a crimp bead, around a wire guardian hooking on a split ring, back through the crimp bead and the last couple of beads. Squash the crimpand cover it with a crimp cover.

4. Slip a cup, a garnet round and a cup onto a headpin. Bend pin over by 90 degrees using flat nosed pliers, trim to 7mm using sidecutter pliers and roll into a loop using round nosed pliers, hanging the dangle onto one of the outside jump rings before fully closing. Repeat, hanging the dangle on the jump ring on the opposite side of the necklace.

5. Slightly open the loop on a 1" eyepin. Slip on a balloon and reclose the loop. Thread a cup, a garnet round and a cup. Turn a loop as before and hang the dangle on one of the jump rings placed between the 6mm filigree rounds. Repeat, hanging the dangle on the jump between the other 6mm filigree rounds.

6. Slightly open the loop on the 2" headpin and slip on a balloon. Reclose the loop then pass on a cup, a garnet round, a cup, an 8mm filigree, a cup, a garnet round, and a cup. Turn a loop and hang the dangle on the remaining jump in the centre of the necklace.

7. Wind the last link of the chain extension (the link without the heart) onto one of the split rings and wind the loop of the bolt ring onto the other.
