This lovely ethnic inspired bracelet uses chunky lampwork sweetie box squares and has the added twist of sparkly of SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Xilion dangles to catch the light. It is a good piece to make to practise your loop turning technique.

Kit includes: -

8 x sweetie box singles: maxi: spearmint

(exact number depends on wrist size, we used 7 but kit includes an extra pattern repeat

of beads to make a larger bracelet)

8 x acrylic mini ringed planet: antique silver

8 x Jump ring: 7mm: gold plated

24 x headpin: 1": antique silver

30 cm x Stretch Magic: 1mm

SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS:

24 x xilions: 6mm: from the blue mix

Tools Needed : Flat nosed, round nosed and side cutter pliers. Scissors

To make Sweet Sparkle bracelet: -

1. Thread a xilion onto a headpin and using the flat nosed pliers, bend the pin over by 90 degrees and trim to about 7mm using the side cutters. Grip the end of the pin with the round nosed pliers and roll a loop, but don't fully close it. Repeat this to make dangles with 20 more xilions (all the remaining xilions if making a larger bracelet).

2. Hang three xilion dangles onto each of the jump rings (seven for the standard size, eight for the larger bracelet), ensuring that you fully close the loops as you go.

3. Thread a Sweetie Box bead, a jump ring then a Saturn onto the Stretch Magic, and repeat this until seven planets are used up.

4. Check the bracelet will be a suitable size. If not add an extra repeat of beads. Run your dampened fingers down both the protruding threads and wipe with a tissue to remove the chalky residue from the inside of the sweetie beads. knot together using a reef knot (right over left then through, left over right then through). Pull the knot tight to make sure it's secure and trim the ends.

2 x eye pins: 2": antique silver

10 x headpins: 1": medium: antique silver

1 pair fishhook ear wires: antique silver

10 x xilions: 6mm: from the blue mix

Tools Needed : Flat nosed, round nosed and side cutter pliers.

To make Sweet Sparkle earrings: -

1. Thread a xilion onto a headpin and using the flat nosed pliers, bend the pin over by 90 degrees and trim to about 7mm using the side cutters. Grip the end of the pin with the round nosed pliers and roll a loop, but don't fully close it. Repeat this with all the remaining xilions.

2. Hang five xilion dangles onto the loop on each eye pin, ensuring that you fully close the loops as you go.

3. Onto each eye pin, thread a rondel, a sweetie bead and another rondel. Turn a loop on each of the eye pins as in step one, then hang one onto each of the loops on the ear wires before fully closing.
