Get Beading Summer School
If you’d like to learn how to make beaded jewellery in a fun and friendly environment, taught by experienced beaders and designers, why not come along to our "Get Beading" Summer School workshops, held at JillyBeads HQ in Morecambe.
You can learn the basics of stringing, looping and linking (to make earrings and so much more), bead weaving & knotting techniques. These workshops will set you up with all the knowledge and skills you need to produce your own beaded jewellery to keep or even give or sell to others.
At each 2 hour workshop you will learn and practise a technique or two and use the skills to make a piece which you can take away with you. Instruction, materials and use of our tools are all included in the price*.
Run by knowledgeable tutors who will be on hand to guide you through the tasks involved and give useful advice on technique, design tips and plenty of beady chit chat, these workshops are a unique opportunity to learn and practise bead jewellery making skills from scratch.
Take a look at our upcoming programme and reserve your place. Whilst each workshop stands alone, so you can pick and choose pieces you favour, the sessions are designed to complement each other to enable you to build a comprehensive set of skills and techniques to call on as you progress your beading hobby.
*If materials other than those demonstrated are requested, extra cost may be incurred.
"Get Beading" is run by tutor Jill or Gill, highly experienced designers who have been making their own jewellery for over 15 years, as well as designing pieces for JillyBeads and projects in the beady press, such as Crafts Beautiful, Bead & Making Jewellery magazines. They are ably assisted by Di who has also been making her own jewellery for many years and loves sharing her tips and ideas with others. All are easy to get on with and love to laugh whilst they work, so there’ll never be a dull moment at our "Get Beading" workshops!
